BLOX™ Filter Systems -
The BLOX™ Filter System for the Durr® Eco Dry X trolley dry-scrubber system is far superior in several ways:
1) The BLOX™ Filter System uses 100% recycled non-fibrous corrugate for the filter housing, so no fiber particles are introduced to the air.
2) The BLOX™ Filter System has been tested to withstand well over the maximum airflow without failing, keeping internal components much cleaner for easy change-outs.
3) The BLOX™ Filter System housings arrive folded flat, and a simple press allows them to be formed into a cube shape and simply pushed into the trolley. The patented BowTie® filters are then easily slid into the reusable housings. This saves not only space, but can literally save hours of work per trolley.
4) The BLOX™ Filter System housings are reusable with most coatings! That's right. With most types of paint, only the BowTie® Filters themselves need to be swapped out, while leaving the BLOX™ Housings in place. This can save hours of cleanup per trolley, per shift. It also reduces waste significantly, and the cost-savings due to the reusable components are remarkable.
5) Used in conjunction with Walk Industrial's reusable patented Grid Guard® system, changeouts of the BLOX™ Filter system are quicker and easier than any other filter made for the Durr® Eco Dry X Trolley.
Cardboard Box Filters -
Below are issues users encounter when using cardboard box filters for the Durr® Eco Dry Scrubber System:
1) Cardboard Box Filters allow fiber particles into the air, which can ultimately affect paint quality and finish.
2) Cardboard Box Filters are basically made to fail, and can blow out, which seems to make them last for long periods of time, but only because of large gaping holes that form during the blowouts. This leads to absurd amounts of overspray that needs to be cleaned from inside the trolleys, and it can also coat and damage the internal components of the ventilation system.
3) Cardboard Box Filters allow overspray particles into the air when the filters fail, which is both bad for air quality in the facility, and for the environment.
4) Cardboard Box Filters either take up valuable paint shop space, or have to be built on-site, costing hours of time per trolley. The time and space costs for cardboard Eco Dry filters are horrible.
5) Cardboard Box Filters use an enormous amount of space when it comes to disposal; taking up more space, and costing significant amounts of money.
